We stopped going out for Halloween when the kids moved out.

We don't go out and we do decorate a little but we keep the lights off and stay in. I make beef vegetable stew, and bake bread. I make my apple cider doughnuts and we have hot cocoa or hot cider. We watch kids Halloween movies/shows. Fun times.
This year though my husband will be at his xc team's meet so I will be doing it alone. We do purchase candy but they are for the kids to munch while they want movies. Only time they can or we buy candy. We usually have tons lefts for Christmas.

I don't 'do' Hallowe'en. It means nothing to me as it is not the big deal here it is in America. Also it is too close to the date my mother died.
