Ingredients
1/4 cup butter 1 medium onion finely chopped 3 celery ribs diced 6 cups dry 1/2 in bread cubes 1 cup chicken broth 1 teaspoon garlic salt 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning 1 teaspoon rubbed sage 1 large sweet potato peeled and cut into 1/4 in cubes 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add onion and celery and saute, stirring frequently until just tender. In a large bowl, combine sauteed veggies with remaining ingredients tossing until bread cubes are just moistened. Transfer mixture to a greased 3-qt slow-cooker and cook on low for 4 hours (or 2 hours on high) Serve stuffing warm.
