Louis M. Livet’s Three-Ingredient Stuffing (14 1/2 c.)
2 lb. bulk pork sausage 2 lb. fresh chestnuts, peeled 2 lb. whole mushrooms
Bring 1 c. water to a boil in a large skillet. Crumble in sausage. Cover and simmer 5 min. until cooked. Drain well in a colander. Turn into a large bowl, breaking up any large pieces. Pulse chestnuts in processor until finely chopped. Add to sausage. Repeat with mushrooms. Stuff into turkey or bake separately in a casserole at 325F about 45 min.. Source: Womans Day Nov 18, 2002
